You choose the location and the app gives you the times for the start and end of the eclipse. Although it's a simple app, it does let you know the type of eclipse so that you can plan accordingly. It's a very simple app. It's not a replacement for more detailed apps. It is, however, a good app to have if you are planning on going to a location along the path of totality and want to know when to view the eclipse. The app is free to download from the App Store. It's available for both the iPhone and iPad.
